Warranty Coverage
Alpadex Plumbing provides a one-year warranty on the installation and components of your plumbing system. This warranty covers defects in workmanship and materials under normal use and service conditions.
Warranty Exclusions
This warranty does not cover:
Drain Stoppages
Coverage: Drain line stoppages for individual fixtures (toilets, sinks, garbage disposals, bathtubs, showers) are covered for 30 days after installation. This allows time for any issues caused by construction debris to appear.
Exclusions: Stoppages caused by debris, misuse, or foreign objects are not covered and will be serviced at standard homeowner rates.
Cleanouts
Your main drain line cleanout is typically located in front of the garage on either side. In the event of a main line stoppage, opening the cleanout can provide temporary relief.
Shut-Off Valves
Your home has a main shut-off valve that controls the water supply. Ensure you know its location and how to operate it.
Each fixture has individual shut-off valves (usually under sinks, inside cabinets, or nearby appliances).
Ice-maker and dishwasher shut-offs are typically under the kitchen sink.
To shut off hot water, close the valve on the cold-water supply to the water heater. If doing so, also turn off the gas valve or electric circuit.
Water-Conserving Fixtures
Your home is equipped with water-efficient toilets, shower heads, and faucets that comply with federal, state, and local regulations. You may notice differences in flow and flush characteristics.
Flushing Guidelines
To prevent stoppages, do not flush:
Showerheads & Faucets
Water Sense showerheads have a maximum flow rate of 2.0 gallons per minute (GPM).
Showerheads meeting California standards are limited to 1.8 GPM.
Faucets meeting California standards have a maximum flow rate of 1.2 GPM.
If water flow is reduced, clean the showerhead to remove buildup
Water Heaters
Temperature Settings: Water heater thermostats are factory-set to 120°F for safety. Temperatures above 120°F pose a scalding hazard; we will not adjust the temperature beyond this limit.
Troubleshooting: If you have no hot water, check the circuit breaker before calling for service.
Warranty Exclusions: External rust or corrosion on the tank jacket is cosmetic and not covered under warranty.
Fixtures & Trims
Carefully inspect all fixtures and faucets during your walkthrough for any defects or damage.
Damaged or defective fixtures will be inspected by the manufacturer’s representative before replacement.
Fixtures are covered under a one-year warranty, excluding damage caused by occupants.
Normal wear and tear and maintenance are not covered.
